I mean I’m over here on Qobuzz but i feel like that’s my own cross to bear. It’s like being the android dork on the group chat. It’s fine, I deserve what I get.
●Women in Peril - Don't Lose Heart. Big, bombastic indie rock good times. Fun, energetic, skirts the edge of screamy.
●BROCKHOFF - Easy Peeler. Poppy, but also fuzzy. Hooks and melodies galore. Not dark, not sunshiney - an honest dose of catchy right in the middle.
●Widowspeak - Roses. Beautiful and dreamy. Indie pop that shimmers. The vocals are really lovely.
●The Creem - A Taste of Cherry. Power pop with chorus' that would make Jeff Lynne proud.
●Sports Boyfriend - Slice of Life. Like if Rilo Kiley and Ratboys had a baby. What's not to love?
●Quiet Houses - we're all in love. Pretty indie rock in the same musical universe as Alvvays. Textural guitars, dreamy vocals, lush arrangements. Good!
●Sincere Engineer - Probable Claws. Big, angsty, fun pop punk. The kind ya wanna scream as loud as ya can out the car window.
●Snarls - In Heaven There's Rainbows EP. Love Snarls! Grungy indie rock with pretty harmonies. Yes please!
My June picks would probably be Slippers, Liz Lawrence and Luna Day. There’s a few I have my eye on in the coming months too.
Jesus Christ I forgot to mention Liz Lawrence what is wrong with me

I am also both of these, ha!
Also I'm the android dork, I feel you
Choire! My playlists are on Qobuz!! Get your butt to the directory, all the links are there. And in all the other roundups, too.
Quboz + Android = winning!
I love Qobuz!

I basically unlocked the comments for you specifically, Liz
I feel honored.
Checking out Sports Boyfriend immediately!
Mary in the Junkyard is great. Phosphene recommended Slippers around the same time the algorithm did.
Enjoying Mary in the junkyard as well but I think my expectations were set a bit too high from the EP(s?)
I hadn't heard the EPs! But is saw live footage of Muscles and was so delighted i thought i will have much more of that, please!
Really love that Mary in the Junkyard record!
I've made a mid-year-ish list on my substack if you fancy checking it out.
I am really loving the Finn Wolfhard album!
*Zero* by Alewya caught my ear last month. London house by way of North Africa, beats that will definitely get you moving.
