•Giveaways

•New Releases

Occasionally my cup runneth over with goodies that I don’t know how to artfully tuck into a normal weekly post, so I like to throw a quick weekend digest your way.

Think of it as a little palate cleanser before next week’s colossal New Colossus rundown.

This digest also happens to be on Friday the 13th, so it’s inherently terrifying!

Giveaways!

We’ve got two: one old, one new.

Vinyl!

The new Brigitte Calls Me Baby is out today. They sound like a mix of Roy Orbison and The Smiths, and they can be yours.

Paid subscribers can win a copy of the new record on vinyl.

Live Music!

If you’re in the Philly area and you missed the window to grab a Heavenly ticket for April 17th, you’re in luck. I’ve got one left.

I wish I could come with you, but alas. You’ll have to tell me about it after. Enter below.

I’ll keep both giveaways open until March 27 and announce them in the Best of March Albums Post at the end of the month.

Upcoming Events!

March is turning out to be an unusually bustling month over on the Discord server. Let’s formalize the invitations.

Radio Hour

Every month, I pull together a surprise mix of new and old songs for a themed hour of discovery and chat. It’s low key, low pressure, and it’s scheduled to work with most time zones (Sunday, 5pm Eastern). Come hang out!

Book Club

It’s not too late to join the March book club — we’re reading Wylding Hall (easily completed in just a few days) and discussing it together in the Discord. It’s mostly asynchronous; hop in when you like.

New Music!

I admit I wasn’t particularly excited with the first batch of new March releases, but the rest of the month is about to redeem itself.

I’m highlighting some of my most anticipated picks for the remainder of March (including today!) below. You’ll add yours in the comments, won’t you?
